Sainz currently serves as the President and CEO of Concentric Medical. Prior to joining Concentric Medical she was President of Guidant Corp.'s Cardiac Surgery Division, and a member of Guidant's Management Committee prior to their recent acquisition by Boston Scientific. In 2006, Sainz led the post-acquisition integration process for both Guidant's Cardiac Surgery and European CRM businesses.
Sainz gained significant experience in the medical device market with Lilly MDD, Guidant and Boston Scientific. During this time she spent a number of years in Europe, including positions in Guidant's French affiliate as well as at their European headquarters. Prior to holding the position of President of Guidant's Cardiac Surgery Division, she was the Vice President of Global Marketing for their Vascular Intervention Division. During her career she has had key roles during the European launches of major new technologies, including the Multi- Link stent and the first implantable defibrillator for heart failure. Additionally, she has been involved in a number of acquisitions, including Guidant's purchase of Intermedics.
