Register.com Debuts New Web Hosting Service for SMBs

Register.com said its web hosting service provides a 100 percent up-time guarantee and a control panel. The new hosting service also includes a Site Restore feature which enables one-click restoration of previous website versions so small businesses don't have to worry about losing data or having to redesign the site to revert to a prior version, the company noted. These features are complimented by a dedicated IP address which is included with every package to boost search engine rankings and increase security. Additionally, Register.com uses virtualization technology to allow hosting resources to expand automatically as the site grows, according to the company.
