ntl:Telewest awards software and services contract to Amdocs

Jun 30, 2008 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- DOX | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Amdocs (NYSE:DOX) has been selected by the UK ntl:Telewest Business (ntl), part of the Virgin Media Group, to provide software and services to replace legacy software and integrate others across ntl's GBP13bn network.

The contract is intended to give ntl a single delivery method for its services, allowing its customers to access the company's nationwide network which reaches into 38,000 street cabinets across the UK.

Amdocs CES (http://www.amdocs.com), which was introduced in January 2008, integrates voice, data and video services into an optimised, personalised digital service, with a business model focussing on enabling operators to create product differentiation and generate brand loyalty, profitability and competition.
