MEADVILLE, Pa., Jul 03, 2008 (ASCRIBE NEWS via COMTEX) -- MTMCD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- MTM Technologies, a national provider of IT solutions and services to Global 2000 and mid-size companies, education and government, announced it was awarded a multi-year enterprise contract in cooperation with the Army's Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS), headquartered in Fort Monmouth, NJ for enterprise-wide deployment of Mobile Armor software.

Mobile Armor data security software has been validated and approved for the U.S. Army Information Assurance Approved Products List (AIAAPL) to secure all data that lies at rest on desktop computers, laptops, smart phones, PDAs and removable storage devices. Recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense's Data at Rest Tiger Team (DARTT) as a primary provider for data encryption solutions for federal, state and local government agencies, Mobile Armor solutions provide a suite of software and hardware encryption products approved to protect personal and highly sensitive confidential data that resides on the business and battlefield tools of today's military.

Exceeding the most stringent requirements set by the United States Government, Mobile Armor data security solution:

- Provides two-factor authentication at pre-boot with support for Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), which allows the use of government-mandated CAC and PIV II smart cards.

- Enables government agencies to comply with OMB Directive M-06-16.

- Is FIPS 140-2 certified using the AES encryption algorithm, ensuring the data is secure without user intervention.

- Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 network environments during pre-boot authentication.

- Integrates with Microsoft Windows, Linux, Blackberry, Palm OS and Microsoft Windows Mobile operating systems.

- Delivers an easy path to deployment, low total cost of ownership and easy central management of all devices under a single console.

Steve Stringer, President and Chief Operating Officer for MTM Technologies, said, "Today's mobile workforce increases an organization's risk and the potential for significant loss. As more and more people travel and work outside the boundaries of an office, there's an ongoing fear of security breaches and a greater need to fully protect business, financial and operating information and data. MTM Technologies offers a complete solution of technologies that includes Mobile Armor's data-at-rest suite-all the tools we believe necessary to meet evolving data security requirements in commercial, education, government or military sectors."

Chand Yyas, Chairman and CEO of Mobile Armor, said, "We remain committed to ensuring information vital to security is protected at every level and will continue delivering market leading data security solutions to meet these goals."
