Fifth Third Bank deploys Infoblox appliances to deliver core network services

Jul 08, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- FITB | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Infoblox, a provider of utility-grade core network services, has announced that Fifth Third Bank has deployed Infoblox appliances company-wide for delivery of core network services, including internal and external domain name resolution and IP address assignment and management, throughout their banking centers.

Prior to Infoblox, Fifth Third Bank was using a Windows-based platform that was not meeting the ever-increasing business requirements of the enterprise. Fifth Third Bank Network Services had strategic concerns regarding the previous solution's scalability; patch management, resiliency and monitoring. In evaluating new solutions, Fifth Third Bank required a scalable product that could provide better reliability for all of the company's branches.

Infoblox appliances deliver reliable, manageable, scalable, and secure core network services and are designed for nonstop operation in high-performance networks. Infoblox appliances can be operated in high availability pairs and distributed devices can be linked together with Infoblox's unique grid technology for management of core network services and infrastructure as a unified system.
