Intel said it will supply high-performance processing technologies, including future chips with multiple processing cores, and will provide software engineers to help to optimize application potential for DreamWorks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
DreamWorks said it will produce all of its feature films in 3-D beginning next year and will convert to an Intel-based processing system.
Intel said it is developing technology to enable 3-D viewing on a range of other platforms such as home theaters, personal computers, video games, and mobile devices.
