He assumes the responsibility in addition to his current role as Chief Investment Officer for Asset Management, India, a release said here.
"Soni brings both experience and expertise to the role of leading our successful asset management business in the country, which has significant potential for further growth," Deutsche Bank India's CEO, Gunit Chadha, said.
Soni would also become a member of the Deutsche Bank India Senior Management Executive Committee.
DeAM established its business in India in 2002 and today has more than USD 2.6-billion assets under management.
