Evon L. Jones named as SVP and CIO of Liz Claiborne

Jul 10, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- LIZ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Liz Claiborne Inc (NYSE: LIZ), a designer and marketer of a portfolio of retail-based premium brands, announced on Wednesday (9 July) that Evon L. Jones has been appointed as senior vice president, chief information officer of the company, effective 14 July 2008.

In his new role Jones will report directly to Michael Scarpa, chief operating officer, Liz Claiborne Inc.

Most recently Jones was with Bausch & Lomb as corporate vice president and chief information officer. Prior to that he was SVP and CIO for The Dial Corporation. Before that he held positions ar Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers and American Express.
