The airline group's system-wide passenger traffic for June 2008 increased by 10.0% compared to June last year, while its capacity grew by 11.2%. This resulted in the load factor decreasing by 0.8 percentage points to 71.8%.
LAN said that international passenger traffic accounted for approximately 88% of the total.
International passenger traffic for the airline group in June of this year rose by 9.4%, while capacity increased by 11.0%. As a result the load factor decreased by 1.1 percentage points to 72.2% in comparison to June 2007.
Domestic passenger traffic grew by 14.6% and capacity showed an increase of 12.5%. The load factor was a 69.3%, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 percentage points.
LAN's cargo traffic showed an increase of 13.6% and its capacity increased by 17.7%. This meant that the cargo load factor decreased 2.6 percentage points to 71.6%.
