Limited Brands reports decrease in same-store sales for June

Jul 11, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- LTD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Limited Brands Inc (NYSE: LTD), an operator of speciality stores, on 10 July reported sales for the five weeks ended 5 July 2008.

Net sales for June totalled USD1.022bn, as compared with USD1.205bn in the corresponding period of the prior year.

Net sales for the year-to-date period were USD3.608bn, as compared with USD4.290bn in the corresponding year-to-date period of the prior year.

The company said that comparable store sales for were down by 9%.
