Able to connect to a household's Wi-FI network, the Kodak Theatre HD Player can display personal or web-based images of video content and allows the user to edit, store or upload the images to online photo galleries. The Player is compatible with USB drives and SD memory cards.
Also Wi-FI enabled, two new digital picture frames, the W1020 and the W820 (10" and 8" diagonal dimensions respectively) can display a user's favorite pictures from a wireless source or from the two inbuilt SD memory cards slots. The two frames both have 512MB of internal memory and are able to function independently of any wireless network, storing up to 4000 images depending on image size or quality.
An agreement between Kodak and Framechannel (a division of Frame Media Inc) will allow users of both the digital frames and the Player to display selected online news, information and multimedia.
