BRIEF: US Airways to halt Sacramento-Charlotte flight

Jul 14, 2008 (The Sacramento Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- LCC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- US Airways will halt its daily flight from Sacramento to Charlotte, N.C., on Aug. 18, officials announced Monday.

The flight was designed as seasonal summer service, but soaring fuel costs also factored in the decision, said US Airways spokeswoman Michelle Mohr.

The daily service from Sacramento to Charlotte/Douglas Intenational Airport was short-lived. the Tempe, Arizona-based carrier introduced the flight Feb. 25.
