ADP to transform payroll processing and benefits administration operations for University System of Georgia

Jul 16, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- ADP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Automatic Data Processing Inc (NYSE:ADP), a technology-based outsourcing solutions company, said on 15 July that it's ADP Employer Services has been selected by the governing body of the University System of Georgia (USG), to provide payroll processing, benefits administration and related services to its more than 38,000 employees, a new public sector client relationship. The company said that the trend in the public sector shows that organisations are moving towards service-based solutions from the previous software-based approaches.

The ADP solution will consolidate the payroll and related services in all the Georgia University System's public schools and universities in the state. The company will host and maintain the technology platform that supports the overall solution, to improve the HR experience for the USG practitioners and employees, as per the agreement.

No financial terms of the contract were disclosed.
