The action by the force left some employees injured including four of them reported serious. The injured were admitted to PIMS hospital where treatment was being provided to them.
Malik Maqbool Hussain, Secretary General, Line Staff Union, and President Action Committee, PTCL Employees, told reporters that four employees were serious.
He warned that if the demands of the PTCL Employees Action Committee were not met forthwith, the employees would cease the PTCL network across country.
He urged the government to resolve the issues being faced by the PTCL employees.
Earlier, the enraged PTCL employees had locked the gates of the PTCL headquarters and other offices after the failed talks between the action committee and the PTCL administration.
The protest was launched after the PTCL administration had introduced a Unified Pay Scale in response to the demands of regularization on permanent-basis by the contract and daily wages employees.
