Jin Air starts offering domestic flights

SEOUL, Jul 18, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- KRNRF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Jin Air Co., Korean Air Lines Co.'s budget carrier, said Thursday it has started offering domestic flights on a route between Seoul and South Korea's southernmost resort city of Jeju.

A 189-seat B737-800 jet is in service for the route and the carrier plans to increase its fleet to five by April 2009, Jin Air said in a statement.

Jin Air will offer flights between Gimpo Airport on the western outskirts of Seoul and Busan in December this year, and between Busan and Jeju in April 2009, the company said.

Jin Air also plans to fly overseas routes to China, Japan and Southeast Asia from the second half of 2009.
