Harris Corporation's ONE Integrated Broadcast Solution selected by SBS Australia

Jul 22, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- HRS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), communications and information technology company, announced on Monday (21 July) that the company has received an order from Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), a multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster based in Australia, to supply a fully integrated broadcast solution.

The integrated broadcast solution will reportedly be used by SBS for the comprehensive rebuild of SBS Australia's playout facility in Sydney.

The company said that the SBS playout facility will illustrate a real-world Harris ONE installation, comprising integrated products from its H-Class software suite and broadcast infrastructure and server product lines.

Harris D-Series playout automation will be combined with the company's Invenio digital asset management and content workflow management to manage ingest, preparation and playout using many of the products from across the integrated Harris portfolio, including NEXIO AMP servers and a Harris/Isilon systems clustered storage solution.

Financial details were not disclosed.
