Among those is a westside store owned by former professional basketball star Earvin "Magic" Johnson.
Starbucks announced July 1 that it will close about 600 stores over the next six to nine months. The locations were disclosed July 17.
The store closings will affect about 12,000 employees nationwide.
Only 10 stores in North Carolina will close. Local stores closing by March are:
3220 Wilkinson Blvd.: Johnson owns this store, which opened in July 2006 and was part of his company's effort to bring more economic development to economically at-risk areas of big cities.
Cotswold.
Piedmont Town Center (SouthPark).
Northlake Commons.
