BEIJING, Jul 24, 2008 (XFN-ASIA via COMTEX) -- SCHPY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Great Wall Motor Ltd is considering its options following a defeat in an Italian court on the matter of a copyright infringement lawsuit brought on by Fiat, the South China Morning Post reported.

"We already have all the legal documents from the Italian court. We are discussing with our lawyers whether to bring up an objection and are open to all the possibilities," Great Wall deputy general manager Bai Xuefei said.

A Turin court ruled in favor of Fiat and banned the sale of Great Wall's Peri in Europe, which it ruled was a copy of Fiat's Panda.
