The console must first be connected to the Internet. Free software can then be downloaded and used to select and order prints of photos stored on a Secure Digital memory card.
Customers can also order business cards bearing the cartoon caricatures they draw using the Wii.
The service is only available in Japan, but Fujifilm, a unit of Fujifilm Holdings Corp. (TSE:4901), plans to expand it overseas. Large prints cost 30 yen (us$0.27), photo albums 1,575 yen and business cards 500 yen for 30, not including shipping fees. Payment is made by credit card.
