After capital injection, Generali China Life Insurance Co., Ltd., based on a registered capital of CNY 1.9 billion, ranks first among Sino-Foreign insurance firms nationwide. CITIC-Prudential Life Insurance Co., Ltd., Aviva-COFCO Life Insurance Co., Ltd., AEGON-CNOOC Life Insurance Co., Ltd. and Allianz China Life Insurance Co., Ltd., with registered hitting CNY 1.82 billion, CNY 1.4 billion, CNY 1.2 billion and CNY 1 billion, take the following four places, respectively.
Currently, China has a total of 43 foreign-funded insurance companies, of which 24 are life insurers, 15 are property insurers and four are reinsurers. Their premium revenue reached CNY 41.99 billion in 2007, accounting for about 5.97 percent of the total insurers obtained in the country last year. Statistics show that 19 out of the 43 foreign-funded insurers enlarged their registered capitals during January 2006 and June 2008.
