OLDWICK, N.J., Jul 28, 2008 (A. M. Best via COMTEX) -- CRMH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The AMBG closed Friday, July 25, at 1032.81 (-2.14%). Of the 15 A.M. Best stock indexes, four rose and 11 declined. Leading A.M. Best's Global Insurance Composite Index (AMBG) were CRM Holdings (+6.91%) and Baldwin & Lyons (+6.15%). Trailing the list of global insurance stocks were Munich Re (-7.34%) and Hannover Rueckversicherungs AG (-7.18%).

The U.S. Health and HMO Insurance Index led the sector indexes, with the European Insurance Index trailing the list. In descending order, the A.M. Best Insurance Stock Indexes closed at:
