Alliance Imaging acquires Medical Outsourcing Services

Jul 30, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- AIQ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Alliance Imaging, a provider of outpatient diagnostic imaging services and radiation therapy services, has acquired Medical Outsourcing Services, a mobile provider of positron emission tomography/computed tomography, based in Naperville, Illinois.

The total purchase price is expected to total approximately $20 million in cash and assumed indebtedness.

Paul Viviano, chairman of the board and CEO of Alliance Imaging, said: "As part of our strategic effort to expand Alliance's position as a national leader in positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) services, we are extremely pleased to announce the acquisition of Medical Outsourcing Services (MOS) and the integration of our respective PET/CT operations in the Midwest and Northeast US.
