The project, which will be implemented over the next two months, reportedly provides a layer of high availability for physical and virtual servers, including systems hosting the Accident and Emergency unit's SQL database.
According to the company, Worcestershire NHS Trust has selected Double-Take's Full-Server Failover Option (FFO), which, combined with the company's continuous data replication, will enable the trust to rapidly failover entire servers, including the operating system (OS), applications and data, even to servers with different hardware configurations.
