Philips releases dictation management software for BlackBerry devices

Aug 01, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- PHG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Royal Philips Electronics has released SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 for BlackBerry devices, a mobile dictation management application that allows voice files to be recorded on BlackBerry devices and downloaded for transcription.

According to the company, its SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 mobile server features an intuitive interface that enables users to assign key controls to fit individual preferences, making the application suitable for both right- and left-handed users; it has the ability to record files without an internet connection; and secure encryption and decryption technology for enhanced security.

The SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 also allows additional 128-bit dictation file encryption for download security. The SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 mobile server manages users and dictation file delivery for download, which results in reduced transmission time and substantially lower phone costs.

The SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 for BlackBerry supports all BlackBerry devices including the BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, and Bold series, and requires no special telecommunication prerequisites other than a valid contract and working connection.
