The El Paso oil refining company's stock closed $1.01 per share lower than its Friday close.
The company has been battered in recent months by analysts' concerns over its $1 billion-plus debt and by operating losses tied to historic high oil prices.
The company is scheduled to release its second quarter earnings report Thursday.
