The company will be sending letters to affected customers who have supplied their addresses and a notice will also be put on the website.
A former employee of the company diverted customers' payment card information, that was intended for reservations, into a personal account between August 2006 and June 2008.
Alaska Air Group has stated that law enforcement authorities have been notified and customers will not be responsible for any repayments. The company also advised customers who think they may have been affected to review statements of relevant payment cards.
