Perot Systems' Government Services Unit Wins Re-Compete Award for SUBMEPP Contract

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug 11, 2008 (ASCRIBE NEWS via COMTEX) -- PER | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Perot Systems Corp. announced that its Government Services unit won the re-compete award for the Navy's Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) contract.

According to company officials, this marks the first time a re-compete has been awarded to the incumbent of this contract.

"We are extremely proud of the work and services we have provided for the Navy's SUBMEPP contract, and our dedicated, long-term relationship with the Navy in connection with the project," said Lee Carrick, president of the Government Services unit of Perot Systems. "What's more, we are doubly proud and honored to have won the re-compete for the contract, which certainly speaks to the quality and dedication of our team and the trust we have earned in the relationship."

SUBMEPP is responsible for the planning for submarine maintenance and repairs during upkeep and overhaul periods. Perot System provides services in the areas of Program Management, Engineering, Logistics Management, and Administrative Support to the client.
