The flights will be flown using 44-seat Embraer regional jets. The airline has also announced that the two daily round-trip flights operated by AmericanConnection carrier Trans States Airlines from Springfield to the Lambert St Louis International Airport will end, effective November 2, 2008.
Peter Bowler, president and CEO of American Eagle, said: "We look forward to serving the local Springfield market with flights to our hub at Chicago O'Hare. From O'Hare, Springfield passengers can easily connect to more than 430 daily flights that American Eagle and American Airlines will operate to dozens of domestic and international destinations in November."
