The Army Corps of Engineers awarded the contract to Jacobs and Huitt-Zollars to continue serving as land development engineer and continue performing other design and support work.
The companies have been working for the past two years on a $4.4 billion expansion program at Fort Bliss near El Paso, Texas. The program involves developing more than 4,500 acres at the site, along with upgrades to 1,000 acres of an airfield, and other projects at Fort Bliss.
Shares of Jacobs Engineering rose 37 cents to close at $71.65 Tuesday.
