NOTICE TEXT: Defense Information Systems Agency Procurement Directorate DITCO-SCOTT RFQ reference: MIPR8KDAJBELHO The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Contracting Division, Hardware Section (DITCO/PL8322), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a sole source contract to Bell & Howell Mail & Messaging Tech. Co., 3791 South Alston Avenue, Durham, NC 27713, for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only notice. This acquisition, for ISA - St. Louis, is for the procurement of maintenance for the Bell & Howell mailroom equipment. The proposed contract action is for maintenance supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure follow: 00001 Bell & Howell Mailstar 500 Insertion Machine, S/N 36-1577 Service ID # 43954A Priority Service Plus Includes 12 Preventive Maintenance Visits And all Remedial Maintenance calls 5 x 8 coverage with a 4 hr response time 00002 Bell & Howell Model 297CS Master Mailer (Phillipsburg Inserter) S/N 24-774 Service ID #3881F Includes 4 Preventive Maintenance Visits And all Remedial Maintenance calls 5 x 8 coverage with a 4 hr response time 00003 Bell & Howell Mailstar 350 Mastermailer, S/N 44-6992 Service ID #40871A Includes 4 Preventive Maintenance Visits And all Remedial Maintenance calls 5 x 8 coverage with a 4 hr response time Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting clear evidence of their capability to provide/perform. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within 5 days of publication of this synopsis to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
