Dr Craig will report to the company's president and chief executive officer Martin McGlynn. Dr Craig, in his new role, will over see the process design and engineering, GMP manufacturing operations, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, facilities and supply chain management.
Most recently, Dr Craig served as vice president and chief technology officer of Progenitor Cell Therapy LLC. In addition, he previously served as chief operating officer of Xcyte Therapies Inc and held senior management positions with the pioneering stem cell companies Osiris Therapeutics Inc and SyStemix Inc. Currently, Dr. Craig is a member of the International Society for Cell Therapy. Previously, he was a member of the US Pharmacopeia Cell and Gene Therapy Advisory Panel and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering. Reportedly, Dr. Craig is an acknowledged expert in the development of cell-based therapeutics and brings to the company over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology sector, the last 15 of which have been in the cell therapy field.
