Atari Inc sign multi-year distribution agreement with Empire Interactive

PowerRating -- Atari Inc (OTC Pink Sheets: ATAR), which publishes, develops, markets,
packages and distributes video game software, revealed on 14 August
that a multi-year exclusive distribution agreement has been signed by
the company withEmpire Interactive, a subsidiary of Silverstar
Holdings (Nasdaq: SSTR).
The distribution rights to a number of branded, video game titles to be
released in North America in calendar 2008 and 2009 has been secured by
Atari Inc as per the terms of the deal. Animal Paradise(Nintendo DS);
Pipe Mania (DS, PSP, PS2 and PC); and Unsolved Crimes (Nintendo DS) are
the three titles to be launched in September 2008, Hello Kitty: Big
City Dreams (Nintendo DS), in the fall. The games will be jointly
marketed by the two companies.
Empire Interactive is a publisher of interactive entertainment software
for almost two decades. The company develops and publishes a range of
titles for all current platforms in the US, Europe and Asia and games
such as Starsky & Hutch, Big Mutha Truckers, Ford Racing and FlatOut
have been successful globally, while its budget label, Xplosiv, is
growing in Europe.
