Diluted earnings per American depositary share (ADS) stood at USD 0.01. Total revenues amounted to USD 23.52 million, higher than USD 22-23 million forecasted by KongZhong and USD 22.58 million anticipated by analysts. Net profits (non-GAAP) hit USD 1.06 million, compared with USD 950,000 in the previous quarter. Diluted non-GAAP earnings per ADS were USD 0.03.
KongZhong expected total revenues of USD 23.5-24.5 million in the third quarter of 2008, while analysts estimated that figure to hit USD 23.03 million and diluted earnings per ADS to reach USD 0.02.
The Nasdaq-listed company rose USD 0.04, or 1.01% to close at USD 4.01 apiece in the regular session and climbed USD 0.16, or 3.99% to USD 4.17 each in the after-hour trading.
