Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Limited to merge its subsidiaries

Aug 19, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- FSR | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Limited (NYSE: FSR), writer of property, property catastrophe and short-tail specialty and casualty reinsurance, revealed on 18 August that its two wholly owned subsidiaries, Flagstone Reinsurance Limited of Bermuda and Flagstone Rassurance Suisse SA will be merged into one operating platform in order to restructure its global reinsurance. The new company will be Flagstone Rassurance Suisse SA with its existing Bermuda branch, providing clients and the market a choice of either Bermuda or Swiss underwriting access. The restructuring is subject to regulatory approvals and rating agency affirmation of ratings and will not cause any change of management, corporate control or the board of directors. The Flagstone reinsurance platform is owned and controlled by Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Limited, a NYSE-listed and SEC regulated company in Bermuda.
