Albemarle Corporation to raise ETHACURE curatives prices

Aug 20, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- ALB | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a manufacturer of liquid curing agents for epoxy, polyurethane and polyurea systems, declared on 19 August that the company will hike the prices of select ETHACURE curatives worldwide, with effect from 1 September 2008, or as contracts allow.

The company stated that prices of ETHACURE 100 and ETHACURE 100 LC curatives will be raised by USD0.35/lb worldwide. The price of ETHACURE 300 curative will be increased by USD0.30/lb worldwide.

ETHACURE curatives are reportedly manufactured in the U.S.A.and are part of the company's polymer additives business segment.
