"Being in the travel and ticketing trade for a long time, we had been getting feedback that we should also venture into training of manpower for the airlines industry as well," Kuoni Travel Group India's Member of Executive Board and Human Resources Chief Bernard Martyris told reporters here.
"Our focus will remain on providing cabin crew for international airlines. Grooming of candidates would also be done on similar lines," he said.
Cabin Crew Direct-UK is one of the world's largest online aviation recruitment sites and has so far partnered with eight international air-carriers across the globe.
The Academy plans to launch this internationally-designed cabin crew training course from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore from early next month.
"Initially, we will pay attention to only these four cities, but over a period of time will enhance our presence in other cities as well," Martyris said.
"Presently, the industry might not be faring well, but over the next one year, the Middle-East itself would have a requirement of some 14,000 cabin crew and another 15,000-18,000 cabin crew jobs will be up for grab in Europe," Cabin Crew Direct-UK's CEO John Ellis said.
The four-month diploma course consists of 18-modules and has been designed in consultation with leading international airlines and meets global training standards, Martyris added.
