PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., Aug 21, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- DII | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Decorator Industries, Inc. (Amex: DII), a supplier of interior furnishings for recreational vehicles ("RV"), manufactured housing ("MH") and the hospitality industry, today announced it has decided to consolidate its Elkhart, IN manufacturing facility into its Goshen, IN facility. Both locations supply the recreational vehicle (RV) industry which has been negatively impacted by high fuel prices, the credit crisis and low consumer confidence. The move should be completed by October 31, 2008 and will not cause any disruptions in product offerings or service to the customers.

The Goshen location was chosen because it is closer to most of the Company's customers and is the better manufacturing facility. The consolidation will allow the Company to be more efficient and better utilize the Goshen facility. Additionally, we have room for expansion when business improves. We expect to retain most of the existing workforce which has already been significantly reduced by the slowdown in the RV industry.

Statements contained in this release that are not historical facts are forward-looking statements that could differ materially from actual results. Primary factors that could cause actual results to materially differ from those in the forward-looking statements are the level of demand for recreational vehicles, manufactured housing and hotel/motel accommodations, the general economic conditions, interest rate fluctuations, competitive products and pricing pressures within the Company's markets, the Company's ability to contain its manufacturing costs and expenses, and other factors.

Decorator Industries, Inc., founded in 1953, designs, manufactures and sells interior furnishing products, principally draperies, curtains, shades, blinds, valance boards, bedspreads, comforters, pillows, cushions and trailer tents. Decorator is a leading supplier of such products to the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle markets and is a growing supplier to the hospitality industry.
