The strong growth of Baidu.com is attributable to its significant performance in the Chinese Internet search market, making it the third largest Internet search service provider in the world.
Google retained the top spot with 64.1% of the global market, in contrast to 67.9% in June. Yahoo came second with 14.6%.
Google' market shares in the US were still on the rise during the period, increasing to 61.9% in July from 61.5% in one month ago. As ComScore adopted new statistical method, the global market presence of Google decreased from 67.9% in June to 64.1%.
The market shares of Yahoo in the US decreased from 20.9% in June to 20.5% in July.
