Chile Day at the New York Stock Exchange

NEW YORK, Aug 26, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- BCH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- The NYSE Euronext, Citi and Grayling Global, with the special collaboration of the Chilean Issuers Committee (CIC), will be hosting "Chile Day" on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008. This event, taking place at the NYSE, will provide exposure to the Chilean equity capital markets and key Chilean companies trading in the United States. Among the companies participating in the event are: Banco de Chile, Banco Estado, Banco Santander, D&S, Endesa, Enersis, Entel, Falabella, Lan Airlines, Madeco, Masisa, Parque Arauco and Telefonica Chile.

Chile Day will include a variety of activities, including a luncheon with several Chairmen, CEOs and CFOs from the companies listed above. During the event, Alberto Ramos, Goldman Sachs' Senior Economist for Latin America will provide an overview of the Chilean economy.

In honor of Chile Day, senior managers of participating companies, along with the Chilean Ambassador to the United States, H. E. Mariano Fernandez will participate in The Opening Bell (R) ceremony at the Exchange.
