Blue Coat Systems Inc and Apere Inc partner to make available seamless solutions for web-based applications

PowerRating -- Blue Coat Systems Inc (Nasdaq: BCSI), a provider of intelligent
hardware appliances and software for a wide area network or the public
Internet, revealed yesterday (27 August) that the Blue Coat Technology
Integration Partner Programme has been joined by Apere Inc, to work on
making a single sign-on authentication solution for web-based
applications available to enterprises.
Enterprises are using web-based applications for many functions,
besides a variety of business-critical tasks. The Blue Coat and Apere
solution of transparent password management and one-time authentication
capability, allows enterprises to simplify management tasks. Blue Coat
ProxySG appliances deliver security, control and acceleration at the
Internet gateway to protect against threats and improve application
performance while the Apere IMAG-TrueSSO solution provides agent less
single sign on for web-based applications.
Apere Inc (http://www.apere.com), headquartered in San Jose,
California, offers agent less web single sign on, password management
and centralised user management.
