US Airways will allow passengers travelling to or from certain locations on US Airways or US Airways codeshare flights to rebook on a later flight that departs within seven days of the original flight without any penalty for rescheduling. If the passenger wishes to change destination then the value of the original ticket(s) may be applied to the new itinerary providing the travel commences within seven days of the original booking.
Passengers eligible for these policies must have been booked on flights to or from Grand Cayman, Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic or Montego Bay on or before 1 September or on flights to or from Cancun, Cozumel, Mobile, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, Pensacola, New Orleans or Gulfport/Biloxi on or before 2 September. Certain other conditions apply and passengers are advised to check with the airline.
Continental Airlines said that passengers booked on flights to or from affected cities in the Caribbean and Gulf Coast regions will be allowed a one-time date or time change to their itinerary without penalty. The airline has published a list of those cities on its website, http://www.continental.com. Passengers who are booked on a flight that is cancelled because of the storm may request a full refund.
