Dentinger has been appointed chief financial officer of KLA-Tencor Corp. (NASDAQ: KLAC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) (Current Market Cap: US$6.77 Bil.), effective September 3. He replaces interim CFO John Kispert.

Dentinger served most recently as executive vice president and CFO for BEA Systems, until the company was acquired by Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL). He was with BEA Systems for a total of nine years. Before BEA, Dentinger served in various financial management positions at Compaq Computer, culminating in his appointment as director of finance, high performance systems manufacturing in 1996.
