Enterprise Products Partners LP signs new long-term agreements with major producers in Barnett Shale Area of North Texas

PowerRating -- Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE:EPD), a provider of midstream
energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude
oil and petrochemicals, declared on 28 August that the partnership's
affiliates have executed new long-term agreements with major producers
in the Barnett Shale region for the utilization of approximately 900
million cubic feet per day of capacity on 1.1 billion cubic feet per
day (Bcfd) Sherman Extension natural gas pipeline.
In addition, the partnership said that a pipeline will be built for the
transportation of new supplies of natural gas produced from the Barnett
Shale in Tarrant and Denton Counties, Texasto the 178-mile Sherman
Extension pipeline. The Sherman Extension is expected to be completed
in the fourth quarter of 2008.
Enterprise said that it had previously completed a 42-mile section of
the Sherman Extension from Erath County to Parker County, Texas and
commenced interim transportation service on the Sherman Extension to
markets utilising Enterprise's Texas intrastate system.
