Peabody Energy appoints John C Hull as director of Sales and Western Transportation

Sep 01, 2008 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- BTU | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Peabody Energy (NYSE:BTU), an explorer, miner and producer of coal, revealed on 29 August that with effect from 15 August 2008, John C Hull took over as director of Sales and Western Transportation for the company's COALSALES subsidiary. Reporting to COALSALES president Bryan A Galli, Hull will be in charge of all transportation functions for the company's seven Western mines in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. Hull succeeds Michael R Rayphole, who is retiring in October, having joined the company in 1994 as director of Transportation and Customer Service for the company's Western operations. Earlier, Hull held various positions with Rio Tinto America and Kennecott Utah Copper, before Peabody, in their sales and marketing, business development, operations, engineering and financial management areas. In May 2007, Hull joined Peabody and was director of Sales and Marketing until his present position. His experience in the mining industry covers more than three decades.
