Sep 03, 2008 (The Daily Star - McClatchy-Tribune News Service via COMTEX) -- PEP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Sep. 3--BEIRUT -- The American University of Beirut (AUB) has received a $40,000 check from PepsiCo International, which will help support funds providing financial aid to students, a statement issued by the university said Tuesday. PepsiCo Middle East vice president Talal al-Khalil recently presented a check of $40,000 to AUB vice president for Development and External Relations, Stephen Jeffrey. The donation will be split among several funds that support students with special needs, the best student athlete, as well as the financial aid fund. -- The Daily Star
