Swedish security services group Securitas AB acquires Serbian security company SCP International

Sep 03, 2008 (NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT via COMTEX) -- SCTBF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Swedish security services group Securitas AB (OMX Stockholm: SECU B) said on Wednesday (3 September) that it has acquired the Serbian security services company SCP International.

The purchase price is based on an enterprise value of EUR3.8m.

SCP International, based in Belgrade, is Serbia's third largest security services provider with a 6% market share in guarding. The company has 1,500 employees and annual sales of EUR8m.

The acquisition of SCP International represents Securitas' entry in the Serbian security services market, which is estimated to be worth some EUR148m.

Securitas, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a leading international security services group with over 250,000 employees worldwide. The group reported sales of SEK62.91bn in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.23 euros (EUR). One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.62 Swedish kronor (SEK).
