Imperial Tobacco confirms sees NYSE delisting from Sept. 12

LONDON, Sep 04, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- ITY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Imperial Tobacco Group PLC. said it has now filed forms for the voluntary delisting of its shares from the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") and expects the delisting to become effective from Sept. 12.

Imperial Tobacco's ordinary shares will continue to be traded on the London Stock Exchange.
