FiOS TV is delivered over an advanced all-fibre network directly to customers' individual homes and businesses. FiOS TV offers all-digital TV, a wide array of high-definition channels and a library of over 11,000 video-on-demand (VOD). It also offers FiOS Internet service, which delivers ultra-fast download speeds up to 50 Mb/s and upload speeds of up to 20 Mb/s.
Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo and Redmond are reportedly the 11th, 12th and 13th communities in the state to grant video franchises to Verizon. Other communities in the state which have approved Verizon's FiOS TV service are Bothell, Brier, Edmonds, Everett, Kenmore, Lynnwood, Marysville, Woodinville, Woodway and Snohomish County.
The company said that it plans to begin offering FiOS TV in Washington later this year.
Verizon already provides FiOS TV in parts of California, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia.
