The order covers three-axle Scania P 420 trucks, on-board transport planning computers and driver training.
The financial details of the order were not disclosed, but according to Scania it represents the company's largest single truck order in Brazil to date.
Scania, headquartered in Sodertalje, Sweden, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks and buses, and of industrial and marine engines. The company has 35,000 employees in some 100 countries, and reported sales of SEK84.5bn in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.72 Swedish kronor (SEK).
