Accenture will provide services in the Americas, Asia, and EMEA regions in 22 languages through its global delivery network. It will also provide financial support services.
The company had already won a four-year outsourcing contract with Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2004 for application maintenance and accounts payable services. In 2007, it signed a multi-year R&D agreement with the company to provide support for India-based clinical data and document management, pharmacovigilance, and scientific writing functions.
Paul von Autenried, vice president and CIO at Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "This agreement enables us to continue to leverage Accenture's capabilities to improve our productivity and support our strategic transformation to a next-generation BioPharma company."
